Energy Calculator
Compare Energy Savings

This form calculates the approximate energy saved using various technologies. For these calculations, 50% RH and sea level elevation are assumed or data is from published source (see notes). All data is believed to be accurate and is from published sources but not guaranteed. You should request in writing an energy usage guarantee based on your situation and should include: 1) Your elevation above sea level, 2) TPH throughput (dried), 3) Moisture in % (be as accurate as possible), 4) Discharge moisture you need, 5) Product sizes and type of product.

VENTILEX Guarantees our energy usage and offers a 100% energy consumption guarantee along with a 100% process warranty.

Enter data in Yellow below. Please be as accurate as possible, especially on moisture. Each 1/10 of a percent relates to a lot of water evaporated, especially with large tons per hour throughput.

Notes:

All efforts to verify data and accuracy have been taken to assure you a fair comparison. Energy figures are approximate. You should request a guaranteed energy use quotation from any dryer manufacturer and compare. This is the only fair method. Many (most) will not give you a guarantee on energy consumption. VENTILEX gives a 100% energy and process guarantee with each order.

1: Data obtained from NISA Energy Conservation Survey. To see the survey, click here for the PDF:

2: Information obtained via Brand "C" Company documents supplied to customers and verified by published data in newsletters in the public domain.

All energy calculations for VENTILEX equipment are guaranteed per situation. You should request a quotation for your actual location (feet above sea level) and climate conditions. Click on the Request Quotation page to get your quotation and guaranteed energy use and savings!

VENTILEX STD is a basic VENTILEX Fluid Bed Dryer and Cooler incorporating advanced controls. See link here for more information.

VENTILEX Recirculation makes use of the air from the cooling section exhaust, filters the dust in a dust collector, and then uses this air as make up air for the burner and supply air, thus saving energy for heating the air. See link here for more information.

VENTILEX Bypass Evap Cool is Evaporative Cooling combined with Recirculation and advanced controls using a small bypass of hot air to raise the temperature of the cooling air slightly. See link here for more information.

VENTILEX Heat Exch Evap Cool is Evaporative Cooling combined with Recirculation and advanced controls using heat exchangers in the exhaust to heat water/glycol, making use of the latent heat in the exhaust air. The water/glycol is then circulated to other heat exchangers to heat the incoming air for the burner and the cooling zone air slightly. See link here for more information.

VENTILEX Ventura 130 is a revolutionary Fluid Bed Dryer and Cooler design where at least 96% of all the energy is used and recovered, making this the most energy efficient method of drying possible. See link here for more information.
